LCD screen not working

Hi folks - could anyone give me advice or point me in a direction? I have an RC transmitter with a dodgy screen. The screen was flickering and then stopped completely. I have replaced the LCD but it's still not working. Could this be an issue with one of the pins on the flex connector?
I have done a diode test over the capacitors and they seem to be working fine... No circuit diagram avaliable unfortunately :( any help is greatly appreciated. I have some basic circuit knowledge
