Hey all, I'm getting really unmotivated by studying for EORs. I just had my first Family Med EOR and scored a 373. Passing for my school is a 375, so unfortunately they are counting this as a failure. I'm struggling with the higher percentage things (Cardio, GI, etc.). Prior to the EOR I was getting in the 70s on ROSH. I have been doing amazing on my rotations but I'm a horrible standardized test taker.
I am mostly worried because my school has a 3 strikes rule, that is, if we fail 3 EORs we are kicked out of the program. I am worried about already starting on a low note. The way the faculty are talking are as if they are not confident I would pass my PANCE at the end of this year.
My next rotation is Pediatrics. If anyone has advice about this EOR specifically or just how to keep my spirits up please let me know.
Update: I passed my Pediatrics EOR with flying colors! (My school grading system graded it as a "high pass"). Thanks to everyone for their advice. I used the Life with Bre charts, while cross referencing with Smarty Pance. Then I watched OnlineMedEd Videos towards the end for subjects I wasn't grasping. Peds was a lot easier for me, but next I have Internal Medicine so hoping my study strategy will work for that!
