I was on Ozempic in 2020 (.5 dose) lost 60lbs! Never have I felt so great. I have always been active and like to run, swim, yoga, and finally felt like I was able to lose weight. In 2022 I had a beautiful baby and gained it all back!
I have been on Ozempic again for the past four months at a .5 dose and have not felt any reduction in appetite and haven't lost any weight at all. I have been working out and trying my best to eat well. I have PCOS and am so discouraged that I will never lose weight again. Currently 215lbs. Any guidance? Is it necessary to go up to 1.0 dose? Any further guidance or suggestions very welcome.
Is there a specific diet you have tried that is working well to lose? Is a higher dose necessary second time around??
I would think at this point to up to at least 1mg. I find at 0.5 it didn't do much the second time around. 1mg seems to be a sweet spot for very slow but maintainable weight loss. I find at .5 I have to exercise a lot more and eat better (don't come at me with the hate, I know you need both to lose weight), but at 1mg my appetite is suppressed enough to lose weight without having to change my exercise and eating habits.
