I've been on Ozempic for going on four months. I started at 0.25 per week for about 2 months, 0.5 for a month, and have been at 1.0 per week for going on three weeks. I'm type 2 diabetic and my doctor put me on it to help reduce my A1C.
I have not yet seen reductions in my A1C. In fact, it's the opposite. I have also not seen any loss of weight. In fact, I am currently one and a half pounds heavier than I was when I began using the drug.
I am also feeling very lethargic, especially now that I'm on the 1.0 dosage and have lost interest in many of the things I used to enjoy. I don't know if that's related to the drug or not, but it it does seem more than coincidence.
Because of the lethargy, I don't really want to exercise but I do get approximately 5000 steps per day.
My appetite is almost always non-existent. The times I do eat are when I feel emotional. That's mostly because of the anxiety I feel related to the Ozempic not working as it seems to for other people.
So just out of curiosity, what kinds of diets are successful users on and what kind of exercise plans?
