I live in the historic district and driveways were apparently not a thing in the 1900s. The property that we are on has three dwellings on it and no driveway. This is usually fine as we can all fit our cars in the street parking in front of our houses, but if there is any sort of holiday or party going on anywhere in the district our parking spaces are taken for days at a time. Today I got a warning from a code compliance officer that my car I had parked in our neighbor's (my grandparents) driveway was illegal as it blocked the sidewalk. I was unaware, but it makes sense in hindsight. I should have asked him while he was there about the cones, but I was frazzled and it slipped my mind. Hoping someone here will know.
