Ok, hear me out. I've been playing a lot of open queue with friends and it feels so much smoother than role queue. I was a huge proponent of role queue so this isn't some sort of vendetta against it. I miss flexing though. I'm a garbage DPS but my tanking and healing are about the same in rank. If I'm support then I'd like to be able to switch with a tank that is having a hard time and can't play a tank that would be good against the enemy comp (i.e. roadhog main feeding his brains off let's me play Sig and switches to support).
What if we brought open queue back to the standard but limited a team on how many heroes of each class they could pick? So still 2-2-2 but I can switch to a tank if a tank will switch to a support. You'd both have to be in spawn and unselect your heroes but it would be nice if only between rounds or team wipes. We still wouldn't have to worry about GOATS or triple DPS.
Thank you for coming to my TED Talks.
