Maybe it's because the SR I am playing at is low (like seriously low). But please try to understand the basic interactions of abilities of your team mates. Doesn't need to be higher skilled things like Halt Nade.
Here are some basic ones that happen very often (from the POV of a support main)
- Healing and Shields: The meta main supports Ana & Bap cannot heal you through shields. The only meta support that can is Brig. If we call out that you are behind shields, break it or retreat.
- Anti-Nade: Purple = no heals so retreat and hide. Spamming "I need healing" won't save you because your healers literally can't do anything about it. Along the same line, a big anti essentially turns your enemies supports into subpar DPSes so PUSH!
- Bap Window: It amplifies damage dealt to enemy team, if possible use it.
- Nano and Primal: Nano has 50% damage reduction and heals 250hp when deployed. You are essentially a 900hp tank. Don't press Q immediately, save it as a "second life". By doing this you are turning yourself into a 2000hp tank.
- Flanking DPSes: Supports cannot heal through walls (duh 4Head), please try to come to us or stay in our line of sight. I cannot help you when you are hiding in some small room after going balls deep into the enemy back line.
That is all that I can think of so far. Feel free to add more in the comments. I am sure I have missed out a ton. And if I sound salty/tilted, well I feel that supports are constantly blamed even when I try to go along with what the DPS wants. Yes I am looking at you, that Pharah that demands a pocket Mercy when the 2nd support insta-locks Zen.
