How did you personally get from plat to diamond?

Post Body

I started at bronze back in like 2018 and obviously could only play roadhog. Now I would say I'm at least mid in every single hero, and I have my handful of about 5 - 10 heros I am very competent at.

I have ranked into plat and currently in plat 2 tank and plat 4 supp, idk yet about dps, but probably low plat.

I will say that at this point it feels like if I were to play on a diamond or masters team I would just grow so much more, but playing in gold and plat lobbies just won't allow me to grow.

Plat is better players than Gold, but still feels pretty close, a lot of people kind of winging it and not being team players nor running counters.

Is plat where you just have to decide to say:

  1. Okay I'm just gonna keep seeing what hand I get dealt by random games.
  2. I am going to absolutely go balls to the walls every game and never lose.
  3. I will just look for 4 guys that are diamond and team up with them to rank up.

I mean obviously option 3 sounds the nicest, because you actually are taking control of the situation.

In the first two you are still just dealing with more tiltable, wingy, non team playery ppl.

Idk I may just stick with option 2 for now, but screw number 1, I am not just gonna chill in plat, I am so close to diamond I can almost taste it.

Diamond is basically masters runner ups and at that level people actually are looking out for each other.

How did you guys get from plat to diamond?
