Having FPS issues when I didn’t before need help

So a few months after getting back on pc I noticed my frames were only able to hit numbers around 8-20 fps when before I’d at least be more consistent around 60 fps and I don’t know what the problem is.
Has anyone run into an issue like this before? Can I hear people’s thoughts?
