I actually liked 2CP in OW1. It feels like an unpopular opinion but I genuinely liked those maps.

I miss Anubis, Volskaya, Paris, Horizon etc. i honestly didn’t really have more or less issues with the latter two maps even though I am aware of their unpopularity. I know horizon was changed and I won’t deny that it totally was changed for the better too. I just still had fun regardless.

Now they are gone and idk if the devs have talked about them or what they are doing with them.

It feels like such a waste of resources for them to remove them entirely.

Why did I like them?

Unfortunately I can’t give a OW2 perspective with 5v5 but in OW1 I enjoyed the pace. Capture point maps are my fav because I enjoyed the coming together as a team and then take a point.

Payload maps give a different feel for me.

Additionally, nostalgia reasons too. I’ve had more memorable moments on 2CP than most other maps.
