So yes, I am definitely a certified weird for having dreams specifically about 2 OW characters that I don't really even use, having 2 different new abilities. But when I woke up they kinda felt like weirdly neat ideas, so, I work-shopped them a little more in my head, and now here they are:
1.) Winston gets an "Alt-Fire." - "Ball Lightning."
• Winston's Alt Fire launches a sphere of "Ball Lightning," which detonates on impact and has a 3m Blast-Radius.
• It lingers for 1 second, doing damage within that 3m Radius.
• Total Damage: 90 (70 impact, 20 Blast-Radius).
• Unlike Winston's Primary, it does NOT pass through shields, neither as a projectile nor damage after impact.
• Travel Speed: 65 meters/second (a little faster than Symmetra's alt-fire).
• No Head-Shot/Crit Multiplier.
• Uses 2x Ammo Per Shot.
2.) Brigitte's Healing "Snowballs."
• Hitting multiple targets within a 2-Second Time Window will cause Brigitte's AoE Healing to Ramp-Up over time.
• Hitting 1 enemy triggers her normal rate of healing; chaining multiple hits on multiple enemies within the 2-second window increases the rate of her healing output to as much as 3x. The increased healing effects will decrease over time if Brigitte is not actively hitting opponents.
• There's a UD Meter/Counter to let players see what their healing output is: (1x, 1.15x, 1.3x, 1.45x 2x, 2.25x etc, all the way to 3x).
• Essentially her healing output would function similarly to how Zarya's Damage-Output functions. Going up as she makes use of her kit, and going down as she backs off to play more passively.
• Every hit from Brigitte on an enemy causes her healing output to increase by 0.15x margin.
• Every 1-second that Brigitte goes without hitting an enemy causes her healing rate to decrease by a 0.25x margin. (You have to earn and keep earning your 300% Healing-Rate, but you don't outright lose it if you need to back off to support your team after losing an engagement. You have time to regroup with some 'passive healing' to help you on the way.)
• After 8 Seconds without sustained damage to your enemies, your healing output reduces back to 1.0, and there is a 5 second cool-down before you can begin ramping up again.
Honestly, as someone who does not really play either of these characters, I don't know if these sound good or not. Thoughts?? (I will say, as a Support Main, the idea of Brigitte being able to be a bit Tankier to help her backline in the current Dive-Meta, since losing her Shield-Stun, DOES feel good to me).
