Tips for climbing even if I get gold medals every game?

I can't seem to climb and I don't fully understand why. I play a very mean Zarya and consistently get 3-4 gold medals every game but can't seem to pull through with the win.

I understand gold medals don't mean much but to me it means my team is doing far worse than a tank and theres nothing I can do about it. I'm happy when I'm surpassed in gold and those are the few games I actually win.

Is there any tips I can apply here? I'm losing the motivation to play after I just lost 3 games in a row all of which I was holding gold medals the entire game. I'm really confused on what I can do here.
