Just a question about events.

I was wondering how often the events usually come up, I was only able to make it for the end of the Halloween and Winter ones and am asking because I have about 3000 credits (not sure what the proper term is) to buy skins and whatnot and want to know if its best to hold off and use the credits to purchase event exclusive skins or just buy what I want now and just save up again?
