Kings Row Extra round?

Me and a few friends were playing a game on Kings Row, and were defending round 1. They got close to the end but didn't finish, and had 0 seconds remaining. We got further than them in attack, which should have been game, but then we get another round of defense where they have 1 minute to attack. I don't mind because we won, but if we got a draw when it should have been a win it would have been pretty bad.
