By no means am I the greatest player but I'm not the worst either. After season 1 I made it to almost rank 60 and in season 2 I got placed at 2400 which is high gold. I am finding that a majority of people in gold DO NOT DESERVE TO BE THERE. With the ranking system Bronze should be a place for trolls (people who throw games or grief others to purposely lose type thing) and people who generally aren't very good at the game. Silver should be for the people between the low and average skill & players who do not work with their team or refuse to work as a team or get objectives. Gold for people between average and above average. Platinum for the above average player. And Diamond or higher for skilled players. Again I do not deserve to be in Diamond but I worked my butt off to get up into platinum.

What was the hardest part about it? Other players on my teams. Sure I've had my bad games and games where I didn't play as well as I should have and perhaps I deserved to lose those ones BUT in a team based game the placements should be MUCH stricter. A majority of games I play there seem to be people trolling, people who completely REFUSE to play the objective or work with the team, people who are toxic, people who tilt/rage quit, or some variation of the sort. I'm not sure if it is just a personal opinion of mine but Bronze & Silver should be reserved for those kind of players. There are players like myself who started in Gold who cannot make any progress due to people like this and it makes playing this game quite frustrating! It probably wouldn't be so bad if this type of thing rarely happened but this seems to be a very common thing and this is after discussing it with my friends. To me it seems like a bulk of players in Gold. There may be even more in Gold then there are in Silver or Bronze (are there even people in Bronze?). Since getting into Platinum I've had a steady decline in my SR mainly due to players such as I've described although I am not afraid to admit that in some games my team (including myself) had just plain been outplayed.

Why post here? Well I would love to get blizzards attention so maybe they will take a look at the placement & ranking system BUT I also want to get everybody else's opinions and experiences on the matter. So please everyone, let's talk and (obviously) keep it civil.

tl;dr Too many trolls and uncooperative players in gold ranking when I feel players like that should be placed lower. Your thoughts?
