I don't think it is a bad idea. I hate being 62 and playing against a team with a 75 and 41, but I feel like there are a lot of negatives to come with it with the way blizzard wants to do it and all those negatives are smurfs.

Smurfing is never good. I don't care what you say, smurfing is never good and will always make a competitive environment less fair. I do smurf myself in other games but that is because of systems like the one blizzard wants to add that forces me to in the first place.

It will cause people to lose games on purpose. That will people the only way for the accounts to stay at the skill rating intended. Some players may try something like only playing Hanzo on their smurf so that their smurf is lower but they are trying for the most part but trying with a hero/role they suck at. Sadly proven by other games in the past, that wont be the case for most. It will lead to people throwing really hard and then rolling over "noobs" the next to keep a balance. Neither of those are fun.

Now why would this system lead to smurfing? Pretty simple, I am good according to Jeff, I am rank 62. I have friends that are garbage that try. I want to play with said friend that is garbage in a game mode where we can try (Quick play blows for that). If you think I am wrong the same thing happened in CS:GO when they added their limits but at least if you had a full stack of players you could play with who ever you wanted. So with less limitation then what Blizz is purposing, there was still a huge increase in smurfs.

I am just saying, I think it is better for a game with a 60 and a 20 to happen then a dude who is on a 20 account show up who is really 70 show up and overkill win or overkill throw.

Sadly I will be forced to smurf to play with a lot of my friends if they add this.
