Looking to get ready for competitive.

Im level 40 and have been playing a lot. I know all of the heroes fairly well, and I play with a regular group of friends. Sometimes we have good nights, bad nights. Thats probably how it just is. Im looking to improve not only myself but my team and our overall understanding of the game. My weakest points are probably my understanding of team comp, counters to certain setups and how to have presence on certain maps. Whats the best way to improve all of these things and my general overall game?
