Especially metal ranks I can tell you there is a massive difference. I am a high diamond player who has fallen down to plat, not from skill but from playing with a lower skill friend and then a mix of bad luck.

Leavers and throwers is so much higher, if you dare speak a word of advice to anyone they’ll just afk. There is a SIGNIFICANT portion of the player base who “play” but aren’t actually playing to win. They’re pushing buttons for the dopamine while chatting to their friend on Fortnite or fifa. They just play for the golden gun points. They will just dive 1v5 for kills on any role and do that the entire game until they have 19 deaths. They will not counter pick, position, take advice if they have chat on at all, they’ll just feed on their main until the match is over.

That or they’re brand new to the game and fps games/using a controller in general as overwatch is free.

Really what every game comes down to is do you have more of these players or does the enemy? Is it a 4v5? A 4v4 a 3v5? A 2v4? Is your tank one of those guys?

So just by sheer bad luck and no other factor at play you can just be hit with loss loss loss loss loss loss loss loss loss.

I’m at the stage now where idk if I just delete my 2000 hour account or not. I’m fallen to a point where it’s a completely worse game and there’s no fun any more
