In many games, beam type weapons are predominantly used to destroy shields fast. When in overwatch, a team of all beam dealing heroes is pretty much unstoppable no matter the enemy they go against. I am suggesting this kind of balance and it goes to all heros. Hear me out. When against a rein shield or any other shield WIELDING enemy, all beam weapons should eat through its shield health like echo's beam, and this includes a hero's shield health pool like zenyattas shield health pool and etc. BUT when in contact with the actual health pool, the beam does LESS damage than it normally would. And here's the other side of things, heros with projectile weapons, their damage should be less than normal on shields and shield health but much greater damage on actual health. This kind of balance can make heros such as tracer or wrecking ball more effective against beam heros like zarya and symmetra but much more weaker to projectile heros like soldier and etc. At the same time it will force more strategy in the gameplay and make the teams more diverse in the types of weapons they use. What are your thoughts?
