I’ve had 4 Js full time for about 1 year now. AMA.
Post Body

Hi! I posted this in the r/overemployed, but thought I’d post it here too just in case anyone is interested. Please let me know if this is not allowed or just delete the post. Thank you!

Background Info: All remote, full time, W2, salaried. In Tech, different sectors. Titles vary, but basically all program/project manager or similar. TC is reaching about $475K now.

In a typical week, I’ll work about 40-50 hours total. On average, I have about 6 meetings per day, but some days I have like 10, which sucks. I either try to keep them short and efficient, or do other work in the meantime if I’m not needed.

For additional context because I know it will come up: it was just perf review season. For all 4 Js, I received either “satisfactory” or higher. There were recent layoffs at 2 of my companies, and I have not been impacted by them so far, but we all know we’re just lines on a spreadsheet and we’re all just waiting for our number to be called someday.

Anyway, ask away!!

Do you have kids? I have two and I cannot fathom doing anymore than my one full time job

Thank you, I appreciate that.

I have two kids and they are in school and I work full time. I was just stating that this seems very hard to maintain for someone in my situation.

Hahaha, ok! Thanks
