The google doc's, the metamechs website and the other stuff didn't help at all, it just made it sound even more confusing and complex.
A lot of terms are thrown around in this community that just fly right over my head. I'm REALLY trying to like this game but I'm having ridiculous difficulty trying to grasp it fully.
Here are some things I can't figure out
How does matchmaking work? Does everybody just get matched together or is it split up by skill/rank/mech?
What are Mech bays? I constantly see people referencing them as important. How does having 3 Mech Bays differ from having just 1? I'm using Trial Mechs right now which I'm assuming will go away at some point and I'll have to buy my own. Are mech bays expendable? Why do I need 3?
If I wanted to spend money on this game, let's say $30-$40, where do I even start? I've already looked at those Mechlab builds and I've checked out some bundles they have on the website but none of it is giving me any useful information
Champion Mechs? Clan Mechs? Hero Mechs? I don't even know where to begin with this one, how do these differ from normal mechs? Are these even important to me as a new user?
And finally
- I come from War Thunder Ground Forces, so I'm no stranger to tactical competition (maybe less teamwork focused), my playstyle involves obscenely high damage at the cost of armor usually. I have plenty of experience peaking corners and making flanks. So which Mech is for me? It's hard to tell how much damage I'm doing when I'm in game. All I see is "PEW PEW LASERS" and I hope that I did some sort of decent damage.
