Why I loved Outlast and can’t wait for season 2

Hi everyone, I just finished watching Outlast and I thought it was amazing.

It was one of the most thrilling and realistic survival shows I’ve ever seen.

Here are some of my thoughts on why I enjoyed it so much.

  • It was not just about surviving against nature, but also against other humans. I liked how they showed the different strategies and personalities of the contestants, and how they interacted with each other. Some were cooperative, some were competitive, some were sneaky, some were honest. It made the show more dynamic and unpredictable.

  • It was not boring or easy. The challenges were tough and varied, and they tested the contestants’ physical and mental skills. They had to deal with harsh weather, hunger, fatigue, injuries, predators, and sabotage. They also had to make difficult decisions that could affect their chances of winning or losing.

  • It was reality TV at its best. It showed us the true nature of our species: we are not always nice or fair or moral. We can be selfish, greedy, cunning, and ruthless when we want something badly enough. It was just a game after all, no one was really harmed.

  • Alpha team were the villains of the show, but they also added the drama and conflict the show needed. They represented the dark side of human nature, where some people will do anything to get what they want. I’m glad they didn’t win because I think that would have sent the wrong message. Personally, I think Charlie team got lucky with their win. They weren’t the only ones who did shady things though. Paul abandoned his team when his Justin left, Justin from Delta team tried to manipulate Charlie team with mind games. No one had the courage to tell their teammates when they wanted to leave, they just sneaked away when no one was watching.

I’m looking forward to season 2 and seeing what new twists and surprises they will have in store for us!
