I've read through everything in the series thus far and I'm working my way through the audiobooks in anticipation of Bees' release this fall. I'm currently about 2/3 of the way through DiA. While I love Davina Porter's portrayal of the books, there's a few things I've noticed and wanted to have someone else's opinion on them.
Whenever Davina reads something that's telling a story from Claire's POV (as opposed to a conversation), she often has an upward inflection at the ending of sentences. Almost as if the character is laughing. This charms me to no end. I can see Claire smiling as she's retelling these tales.
The difference in pronunciation of Murtagh between Outlander and DiA. I don't know how to linguistically break down the pronunciations, but, it's there. Murr-taaaa vs Murr-tauw. Has anyone else noticed? Is there a reason behind it?
Anyway, I'm excited to plug my way through the remainder of the books. I rather enjoy listening to them.
