Throughout the book series (and maybe the show, but I don’t recall specifically) Claire and others comment on Jamie having 9 lives like a cat. Claire unofficially keeps track of all those times he should have died but didn’t. Jamie would rather not think about it.
What are those times? Do the books ever mention Claire keeping an actual list? If they do, I missed/have forgotten. What would they be?
In your mind, what would those lives be?
I am torn on whether to include all the times he should have been/was close to being hanged by the Redcoats in the early books.
- 1. Culloden/the leg injury is definitely one. Jenny had to fight like hell to keep him alive.
- 2. Whenever it was that Claire removed the bullet from his skull that was thick as whatever metaphor was used.
- 3. The snake bite on Fraser’s Ridge
Are there any others y’all can think of?
