Just recently stumbled onto this show and loved it so much Iāve finished an entire season. I have one major question Iād love an answer to, but if we can please avoid spoilers? šš½
Based off of that last comment of the season (and some Geillis seemed to make) about potentially going to change the past to affect the future outcomeā¦ Is the premise of the show that these time travelers would be able to effectively change the past? Because whatever has happened those hundreds of years ago, the only outcome that can make sense is the one Claireās learned as fact from historians of her time.
Am I making any sense? Sheās confident enough to tell BJR the exact details of his death and all those other things throughout the season sheās known as fact- but if time travelers can impact the past that drastically, wouldnāt the future always be forced to wind up the same?
Hereās an extreme example. Supposed Claire goes back in time as ensures that BJR is killed in childhood. She wouldnāt have the husband she had. She wouldnāt have been on the honeymoon he suggested. She wouldnāt have ever found out what happened had she touched the rocks.
Is there something Iām missing? Am I just thinking too much into what should be entertainment?
