I was caught out in a 30 minute rain shower. Not a cloudburst or anything heavy, and by the time I got back to the car, the shoulders were soaking through. This is a lightly used jacket - I didn't use it for around town, and washed it with the special soap they recommend the one time I washed it.
I ended up returning it because that much money for something leaky seems like nonsense to me. Do you think I got a defective one or is that just the way things are? I don't have a huge need for waterproof breathable gear - I live on the dry side of the Cascades - so I'm kind of considering that that jacket costs like $250 and I could get a far cheaper version from Costco that might be just about as good.
I was not working hard, so it wasn't sweat forming on the inside or something like that.
