Bought the motor brand new in June of 2020. Long story short I do a lot of fishing. The motor currently has over 1300 hours on it. It is over heating at any rpm over 1k. The guardian system kicks in and it throws over heating codes.
Took it in to a trusted shop and they said the "power adapter gaskets" are shot. Honestly I've never heard of a power adapter gasket. Is that just a head gasket?
If it's not a head gasket how much of the motor do you have to tear apart to get at the adapter gasket and if it's a lot should I just have them do a head gasket since the motor has 1300 hours on it?
Any advice would be helpful. Also the exhaust gasket has less than 20 hours on it, new thermostat has less than 5 hours on it and a new water pump has less than 30 hours on it.
