How boned am I

Just got an old boat and motor. I’m in southern Florida. Motor 1981 Johnson 140. Overheats in idle with muffs on. Only on starboard side. Water pump and impeller good. Thermostat is all crust and no stats to be found. Kinda common down here. Took off head plate and the head. Corrosion everywhere. Water jacket had holes all around. All blocked up everywhere. I’ll clean that up. But look at these spots I circled. Even with a new gasket all the meat in the case is gone. Any fix. Tia.
