so i posted this in the manhwa sub first but didn’t get anything so i’m trying my luck out here :-)

honestly i’m only like 90% sure this is an actual webtoon and not something i just made up but here goes. what i remember is a girl who lives in a cabin like house alone, she lost her father when she was young. her father was killed by his best friend because the friend thought he wasn’t utilizing his knowledge about martial arts (? i’m pretty sure this was a martial arts webtoon) well enough, and wanted to steal his techniques. in the mc’s cabin, she keeps a scroll handed down from her father which contains like secret techniques and stuff. she often has intruders and the like attempt to steal this scroll.

other details are blurry, but i think at one point either her or another character are facing off an antagonist that manages to grab hold of the scroll. he unrolls it on the wrong side so it looks blank to him. he mistakenly has some feeling of enlightenment and thinks the scroll is blank on purpose (like kung fu panda ig lol). but his opponent is able to see the correct side of the scroll and uses what’s written on it in the moment to subdue the antagonist.

that’s what i can remember… if this exists and isn’t a fever dream my brain made up, i would be really grateful if someone knows the source! been bugging me for days :)
