I’ve been dealing with a neighbour that parks their vehicle over the property line by half a foot onto my property and the gap between their vehicle and my home is exactly one foot that’s how close they are parked…. I have already spoke to the neighbour about the issue but weeks later they decide to continue the same behaviour. I’m looking into building a fence and been in contact with surveyors and fence contractor.

Do I require any permits to build a fence on the property line? I’m looking to build a fence on the property line, would this require me to speak to the neighbour (highly doubt they would agree if it does need approval from the neighbour) or the other option I’m deciding was build the fence as close to the property line? Kinda stuck in limbo on how I should proceed because I worry if the surveyor put stakes on the property line the neighbour might remove them before I get a chance to build the fence…
