Newbie concerned about safety
Post Body

I sprung for the Aufero LU-SF4 on Prime Day and Iā€™ve been playing with it a bit but thereā€™s literally zero safety information in the documents (other than to wear the glasses they provide), and Iā€™m kind of stressing out here with the lack of information.

At least one YouTube I found called the green glasses that ship with it total garbage. Is that true? Are there better glasses I should be using instead? I keep reading that reflections are dangerous - how dangerous? Are we talking mirror reflections here or just the shining off the drywall?

Are the glasses necessary when using things like the frame feature in the software that previews the bounding box? Itā€™s pretty hard to see through them and Iā€™d love to take them off when lining up my material, but I obviously havenā€™t done so.

I know these are kind of dumb questions, but itā€™s a dearth of information. I caught the laser out of the corner of my vision a couple times, between the gaps at the extreme edges of the glasses. I snapped away, but everything I read says it takes only a fraction of a second to suffer permanent damage. Am I putting my vision at serious risk here?

I also keep reading that the fumes from engraving wood are safe with ā€œsufficient ventilationā€. What is sufficient here? Right now Iā€™m just running it on the floor of my garage with the door open and a fan behind the cutter pointing outwards. The smell is still pretty pronounced. Am I being a rank amateur by not building some kind of enclosure with a conduit to the outside?

Thanks for helping to allay or confirm my fears working with this thing!
