Boxer's fracture w/closed reduction

I have a couple questions for anyone who has been through this and/or doctors. 1. Does it hurt/how bad when you get the pins taken out?
- How long after the surgery can people usually drive? It's been 2 weeks since I was in a car accident (which is how i broke my hand) and a little over a week since the surgery/I haven't had my post op appointment yet but my pain has been very minimal the last couple days, I'm off prescription painkillers now, and I'm back to work (with restrictions). My car was totaled/I need to buy another one as soon as possible so I really hope I don't have to wait much longer
