What’s Orthodox Christianity like? I’ve been non-denominational/Protestant my whole life but have thinking about checking out some sort of Orthodox Church.
Post Body

(Posted this in the r/TrueChristian sub yesterday, got nearly 200 comments as of now. A lot of orthodox believers told me to post here, for deeper answers and less arguing in the comments so here goes)

I am a Protestant, always have been. I have too many disagreements with Catholicism to really get into it. I’m in a rough spot and I feel like I need to find a church or worship structure or denomination that’s formal and gives me a “bigger than myself” kind of purpose or vibe. It’s been hard to find a place with both a healthy community and healthy theology, let alone with others my age. Orthodox stuff came to my head so I’ve been thinking about heading over to one to try it out. I’d love to hear what people of other denoms or walks of life have to say about their theology, way of worship, and so on.
