Hesitancy regarding baptizing my daughter
Post Body

My two week old daughter was going to be baptized this Sunday at the LCMS. But, I realized; I can’t go on denying orthodoxy to not only myself but my family as well. I told my pastor today that we are going to hold off on baptizing our child, because of our convictions regarding orthodoxy.

Yet, due to a previous miscarriage, my anxious soul worries if she were to die. I want her baptized asap but even my own catechumenate will take a year or more. Am I supposed to simply dwell in this uncertainty until then?

Thank you .
