Would making friends with my local crows have a negative effect on other bird species?

Post Body

I am lucky enough to have a large garden which backs onto fields so see a variety of birds from wood pigeons and doves, crow, Magpie, blackbird, to robins, finches, green woodpecker and occasional jay.

We have multiple bird baths and feeding stations on various styles for all the different birds and ground feeding tables which are all well established and trusted.

I have been thinking about trying to make friends with the crows but am concerned they can bully the smaller birds and possibly even deliberately scare them so they fly off and strike our windows (we do have the bird window stickers but strikes do happen).

I would hate to encourage the crows if there is was a chance we lost some of the other species as a result - especially woodpecker and Jay.
