Here's the background info you'll want:

A development team made a virtual universe sim that is filled with video game, movie and other media references. However, a malicious third-party forced a virus in that acts as the corruption, fusing the media denizens together. This is the normal universe.

A being known as the Virtuvian created a negative version of this world, where the land is fused together but the denizens are uncorrupted. The Vitruvian doesn't have the time to control this world though, and so he created a weak god to control it; and that could be your avatar!

Some things you may want to include: What their powers (if they have any besides reality warping) would be, their temperament, if they would have any demi-god/legendary servants or pets and how they would interact with other gods and the main characters (a group of adventurers with the power of a god resting within).
