Which is the stronger base?

My textbook says the 1st species (ethanol) is more basic than the 2nd species (ethanethiol). Iā€™m not understanding why.

My logic: I thought that when both act as bases & acquire a proton, ethanethiol is better able to stabilize the positive charge (because sulfur is a bigger atom than oxygen), leading to a more stable conjugate acid. Therefore, the more stable conjugate acid comes from the stronger base, which would be ethanethiol.

Can someone help me
