Hello all,

We've been a bit busy lately, more than usual anyways, dealing with the influx of spam, single guys, but also trying to find time to improve this sub more. We've made a few changes behind the scenes and plan on adding some new ones as we go along that you should know about.

^{To be clear, we don't hate single guys. We know they serve a purpose but for every one good one out there, there are a thousand ruining it for the rest.}

Changes

We are going to enact a Required "[MF4MF]", "[MF4MF/F]" etc. to be added in the subject line. If the poster does not add this, the post will be removed and a polite reminder sent to OP. This does not negatively affect your karma, your spam count, or even make you look bad. It's an automated message and that's it. Just add the required field and resubmit. If you run into troubles, let us know and we'll help you out.

Why?

Two reasons:

• First, and to comment that we really didn't want to do this, there is a seemingly infinite loop we are stuck in of single guys ignoring the post flair, then users (rightfully so!) reporting the comment, and then one of us going in and removing the comment with a reminder to the offender to pay attention to the post flair. (Look at our personal histories and you will see we do this quite often). The part that is really irritating, and going back to others ruining it for the good ones, is that we then get some great hate messages thrown our way for literally asking the offender to "respect the post flair".

• Second, and what you don't see (hopefully you don't see because we're doing good at shielding you all) are Spammers. We've discovered that spammers are lazy fucks and if you remove their posts that require even the tiniest bit of change, they are not very likely to put forth any effort to resubmit. This includes the Content Creators who spam the ever-loving shit out of us, too. I think we're up to at least twenty content creators a day here.

Post flair will still be required as this allows others to search by flair. It's also another added step that spammers trip up on which makes it a win-win for us and you.

So, it's a little more work for you all but in the grand scheme of things, it will help us all out.

Wiki

Hey! We have a WIKI! ^{https://www.reddit.com/r/OregonSwingers/wiki/index} Currently it just has the Club Review on it but if you want to add more, please let us know! Also, the club stuff seems to be going through some changes so if you go, please report back. We try to give users the most accurate facts and opinions as we can; averaging the opinions side of the wiki takes more feedback from club goers to better reflect what is really going on.

Pro-tips

Do you get too many creepy DMs? Turn DMs off for a few days after your post. Couples will absolutely PM you. Single guys and spammers, for whatever reason, are less likely to use PMs.

Use the BLOCK function more. If it's a guy/couple/woman/etc. that you don't like to see, hear from, etc., block them. Easy solution to a lot of issues out there.

Uncomfortable stuff

"Quality of posts"

We will be adding a 7th rule for quality posts. Reports and comments for these we've admittedly ignored but we're going to start being the assholes that actually do something. Up until this point we just assumed the reporter knew how to use the block button and moved on. However, some of these posts we get quite a few reports on and are warranted. This is of course subjective but come on, showing up-close genital shots with your potato phone are not really going to get you anything here. In fact, going through the last round of these pictures the only ones to reply to OPs were single guys. Not one couple commented on these! To be clear, this is NOT something anyone on the mod team will be deciding on, but if you report it for lack of quality, we will likely side with you. So if you get a "Removed for Rule 7" statement, know that it's not us who decided this but that we did ultimately agree with others. Take it as constructive criticism and improve your game.

MF4M posts.

If this is all you want, please use r/OregonMenGoneWild (dick pics and couples looking for single guys) or even r/OregonGoneWild (women only). We're listening to the feedback and we get it, this is a MF4MF sub and while we won't remove these, we will encourage your MF4M posts to go to more appropriate subs. Again, we aren't doing anything other than encouraging you to look elsewhere where you will have better luck.

MF4F posts

We get it, seems like every couple out there, swingers or not, eventually go through the, "Hey, let's get a woman to have sex with us!" phase. These women are called "unicorns", but not because they occasionally wear a strap on that resembles a unicorn (?) but because they are so elusive. Coming here, especially a swinger subreddit, where I believe the percentage of swingers that do NOT want a unicorn is in the fractions of a percent, you will have better luck posting in other non-swinger subs, like r/OregonGoneWild (women only); and if you want to share the male-half, use r/OregonMenGoneWild. I know for a fact that there are some unicorns (and hotwives) that use those two sites to "window shop" but few that use this sub that are not spammers. Coming to a swinger sub just to find a unicorn is kind of naive. Yes, they exist but they are rare. Again, not telling you to go elsewhere but giving you some friendly advice.

Likes, subscribers, Content creators, and anyone who is not part of a couple

These are things that are not our concern or our goal to please here. Our goal is to provide a space on Reddit for Oregon Swingers (MF couples) to connect and have fun. That's it. We're all volunteers and enjoy this as long as it doesn't become a job to us. Content creator's spam, single guys getting upset that we aren't allowing their comments and dick pics here, and others that seem to think we care about subscribers here (really weird to us), are making it a job. We do not get paid, we are not part of any affiliates, and we certainly do not want this to become a chore so we're doing what we can to better reflect all of this.

Get verified!

You know that we have a private sub just for verified couples and single women, right? If you don't, read the other stickied post on it all. There's talk of Meet-n-Greets and fun things going on.
