First things first: HUGE shout out to u/Auto_Perv_Mod! She's been holding down most of the mod duties the past couple of months and has been killing it! Thank you!

We have a few updates for everyone that you may or may not care about but here they are just the same, if not, Hooray for the Boobies of u/Super_Secret_Name!

Stealing of pics

We wanted to make everyone aware of a user who was cross-posting YOUR content from various local subs (such as r/OregonSwingers and r/OregonGoneWild) and using YOUR content as a way to bolster their own subreddit. Many of you contacted us and we in-turn contacted the user and Reddit. The account, DixieDarlin503, and their subreddit, PNW_casual_encounters, have been suspended and banned by Reddit, respectively. If you find your stuff being posted elsewhere on Reddit, report it where you find it, and then let us know and we'll do what we can with the admins to get it removed - being that it came from a sub we mod. Credit must be given to Reddit Admins here for dealing some swift justice; it was less than 24hrs after the first report came in that they removed the user and subreddit. Moving forward, we have taken note and will try to keep a check on these things if this person, or another creep, tries again. Some of you may not care but for those that do/did, we feel your rage.

Spam fight

Since we enacted a few changes - like requiring gender tags in the subject line in r/OregonSwingers - we have seen a significant decrease in the amount of spam that reaches the main page. I estimate that 80% of the spammers that get the auto message telling them that they need to apply/fix their gender tags actually DO NOT resubmit. That's about 15-30 A DAY that just give up there. Based on this success, we will soon enact a similar change to r/OregonGoneWild.

For that spam that does leak through, thank you to those of you who choose to report it instead of feeding it. That helps everyone.

Finally, for those asking, "What spam here?" Thanks! Ha. We try to make it so you never see it but if you're curious just how bad it could be, look at some of the other subreddits that are not moderated, or moderated well. For us, on an average day between r/OregonSwingers and r/OregonGoneWild we see about 20-40 posts and upwards of 50-100 comments, A DAY of spam. Granted, all of that usually gets removed by our auto mod before you see it but we usually still sift through it to report and ban.

Mod's updates

u/Super_Secret_Name and I have been lying low due to... well, life (work, health, family...). Nothing serious for now and we're on the way back but it's kind of funny to give pause every once in a while to reflect on your priorities and find sex and ENM at the end of the line at times. Again, huge thanks to u/Auto_Perv_Mod for stepping up and helping you and us all out.
