So I bought an Oppo A96 in April 2023.
I have two issues I can't for the life of me figure out.
I have trouble shooter every step, cleared cache and data of all apps, recovery menu delete cache etc, reset system and network settings. I have tried many apps
Number 1.
NFC will not detect tags, it won't read it won't write. It's almost like there's no nfc. But NFC worked the day I bought this phone, after updating it it no longer works. It's not just cards, it's tags. I can't pay with nfc, its as if my device does not have nfc, but the OS has all the settings and can even enable it.. I have tried everything short of a factory reset. Will this help? It's still under warranty. (2 year warranty) Oppo are aware of the issue the no longer make this device if they have to replace it would it be one with the same specs? The store I bought it from now only well 2 low end Oppo devices less then half the value this device cost me.
Number 2.
Unsure if related but every time this device turns on, just after boot, (post Oppo and android logo) as the user inter6is loading the screen dims alot and the words "TURN OFF" are displayed for a few seconds while the phones finishing booting and it starts up as normal.
My question is what is this referring too?
Also NFC is always on.
I'm pretty knowledgeable when it comes to trouble shooting problems and identifying them. But these two have me stumped. I know it's possible a reset will resolve them,
I have tried different Google accounts even though that sounds silly.
I have done all the troubleshooting No face unlock Disabled developer settings Deleted all cache and data from all apps necessary.
No root Everything stock. Running colorOS 13.
Before that update it was 11.x (can't recall exactly) maybe 12 or both prior to update. But after the first update it is like the phone has no nfc, but a chip to tell the os to display the option and pretend to turn it on and off lol..
But it has worked on this device once or twice, the day I bought it.
