I feel like this time is different, and I know him staying clean is ultimately his battle but I want to know the best ways to help. What helped you guys? What do you wish someone did for you?
This is the first time he’s gone voluntarily and stayed the entire time without running away. I just met with him and his counselor today for family therapy and he’s doing really well and seems really hopeful and motivated and I just want to do anything in my power to keep him in this headspace.
We plan on keeping busy - gym, cooking, hiking, fishing - and the counselor says it’s good that he has a goal (an apartment) to work towards but is there anything else I can do?
Thank you guys so much in advance.
