Any tips for putting on wet socks?

My new wet (neoprene) socks have arrived, and I have no idea what's the best way to put them on. I usually wear wet shoes (a mesh material) or in winter my wet (neoprene) boots but thought the socks would give me more flexibility than the rigid heel on my boots.
Also any tips on getting them off again? Thanks!
