I registered on the OU to start BSc (Honours) Data Science and not I've got to choose my first 2 modules, as I will be studying part-time. My options are:
Essential mathematics 1 MST124;
Introducing statistics M140;
Introduction to computing and information technology 1 TM111;
Introduction to computing and information technology 2 TM112.
They appear on the "choose your modules" page in this order. Now logic rules out TM112, which leaves me 3 options. I'm not sure which ones to pick. Since I've got big gaps in the trigonometry required for MST124, I would start with M140 and TM111, thus having time to revise the MST124 mathematics before I start the module, and jump into it prepared.
What is your opinion? Am I going to need the MST124 knowledge for M140 and TM111? Are they meant to be picked in that order? Am I ok to leave MST124 for the second year?
