Having to reinstall every time I open it

I used openshot before on my laptop and it was really slow but no major issues. Now I have a very powerful new pc and I installed it yesterday and worked on it a little. Today when I was trying to open it I had to install it again, then I closed it and opened it back had to install it again, then it just crashed. Why do I have to keep reinstalling it every time? And then crashes.. Thank you
