Album.

I made the drivers and breakout out of protoboard and stacked them vertically and used JST XH for interconnects.

For the ring light I popped open an old LED light bulb and removed the top section with 6V LEDs on it, drilled a hole in the middle and wired two sets two in series in parallel and added a 12R resistor to each section. I put them on a toggle switch so there is OFF, Ring (1), Ring (both).

Printed the diffuser but it didn't work well with my white PLA so I cut most of the front part off and glued polarizing film on to it with a middle section set perpendicular.

The voltage regulator wasn't doing it for the Pi (undervolting and causing boot problems), so I cut that trace and powered the Pi directly and let it feed the drivers its 5V from the same connection. For 12V I am using a bench supply until I can find a decent brick.

The 519 camera is mounted on a piece of acrylic and the ring light is stuck on it with thermal tape.

My first ever 3D scan (a matchbox) turned out better than I hoped! Now I have to learn how to clean meshes.

Many many thanks to Thomas for the plans and the firmware.

FYI: I want to say that if you think it will be easier or cheaper to build your own boards, it won't, but I didn't want to wait for the shipping from Europe when I had all the parts and the time to build it myself.
