We got a French-Boston mix(Rebel) about 6 months ago and for the most part she is an excellent dog. We also have a Frenchie (Maggie) and our goal was that while we were at work, Maggie would have someone to hang out with. Maggie never has chewed on anything but we were worried that she was getting lonely during the day. They both have access to the main house but we close all our doors so they can’t get into the bedrooms and they are able to access the backyard. I often times come home with one or both of them outside playing or barking at whatever has caught their attention.
Since we’ve gotten Rebel, we come home more often than not with various items that she has managed to find and chew up. She’s gotten hold of a PlayStation controller, tv remote, a pair of wireless ear buds, and most recently the couch.
I guess the question is, without having to put her up in a crate, is there a way we can stop her from chewing things up? I really want to buy a new couch but I want to wait until we have this situation under control.
