is gpt-4 noticeably better at creative writing?

I'm just curious, I'm not going to pay for it, at least right now while the servers are getting hammered.
One thing I do a decent amount of with chatGPT is working with it for sci-fi/fantasy world building, but I find the writing is very dry and linear without heavy prompting.
Does anyone have experience with GPT4 in this regards?
