Just curious. I've been using my Nova 2 since late 2020 and it's getting long in the tooth. Great device overall but it no longer receives firmware updates, and the contrast is not great when compared to my Paperwhite Signature, blacks are very gray and it's terrible for reading manga despite having the right ecosystem for it (Android).
I don't love the Kindle and may buy another Boox reader in the future, but not really sure what's equivalent. Looking for a 7-8" device, no color, and I prefer the standard vertical format without side buttons. Does something like that exist today?
