Does anyone have any experience working out of north west region? Dryden, Sioux Lookout or Kenora? I currently work for a police service as a civilian member and have been looking into getting into a more frontline first responder role. I’ve done a bunch of research about policing and have spoken to uniform coworkers, looked into fire, and now I’m looking into the paramedic side of things. I have a veterinary background so I’m pretty familiar with medical terminology etc.
I recently moved to NWR from Southern Ontario and learned about a school up here that offers a paramedic program - Seven Generations Education Institute. I was also told that tuition is being reimbursed considering there is a lack of paramedics in the region.
I’d love to hear from anyone who works up here as a paramedic, how they like it, challenges etc. and what they think of Seven Generations Education Institute.
Thanks 😊
