My tenant has stopped paying rent. (2 months) also hasn’t paid the hydro bill in over a year (added to my tax roll) I have provided him with the N4 and the termination date is the 23rd. He’s been in the house since ‘18 so the rent is well below current market rate. I know the LTB is backed up , I could legitimately use the house myself as my father is ill & my primary is out of town (my rental is in my hometown). I’ve heard once I force an eviction to use it myself I have to keep it unrented for 1 year. My father probably only has 3 months. If I use it and then for obvious reasons no longer need it , do I really have to wait a year?
